NEW SSCA Prototype Series







The SSCA Prototype Championship Series (PCS) is a 10 race season with two drop allowed. This will be a great series both new, and veteran iRacing HPD or DP Drivers The PCS will be a fun open wheel series that is is put on by the SSCA free of charge. Yes FREE!!! We want to have this event available to most iRacing participants with the only requirements being a 3.0 safety rating or a Class C or better license gets you in automatically.

The SSCA was created by Darin Gangi as he transitioned from being an admin for an offline league on Compuserve back in 1995 with the first multiplayer online racing platform Hawaii using Nascar 1 from Papyrus. Since 1995 the SSCA has been in existence in one form or another, from hosting endurance races up to 12 hours in length using rFactor to the Team Championship Series on hosted on iRacing. . Darin is better as one of the creators and hosts of the internet show “Inside Sim Racing”. Which you can catch on http://www.insidesimracing.tv/ . Ted Severns will be in charge of Operations and Series Director. Ted is not new to being a Race Series Director. In real life Ted tested, developed and became the Series Director of National Auto Sport Association (NASA) Spec Focus Series from 2004-2009. In the Spring of 2010 Ted started the iRacing Team Virtual Apex Racing (vApex Racing) as they we invited by Darin to compete in the SSCA Team Championship.

You must first register with iLeague Race first before you can signup for the SSCA Road to Indy Series.

Inside SimRacingTV and the SSCA Team Up with iRacing

SSCA with conjunction with the Inside SimRacing TV Team will be hosting 4 special events this year that are part of the iRacing calendar of events here.

There will a total of 11 l iRacing Tournament Special Events that iRacing will be putting, with Inside SimRacingTV and SSCA doing 4 of these events.

The four Inside SimRacing TV SSCA Events will be two oval races and two road races. These events will be using iRacing tournament feature, have prizes, and hopefully broadcast the event. The first event will be at the end of March. The two road course events will be part of the SSCA World Endurance Challenge for 2012.

vApex Racing Group 2.4 Hours of Spa









The Second Annual 2.4 Hour of Spa Sponsored by vApex Racing Group will be a Multi Class Endurance Sports Car race with the Honda HPD ARX-01c (LMP2), Chevrolet Corvette C6.R (GT1) and the Ford GT (GT2). The race will have live race control, live stewards, custom paint schemes and fun endurance racing. All is this is Free!!! 
 
We want to have this event available to most iRacing participants with the only requirements being a 3.0 safety rating, C Class or better. Our goal is to have 58 total racers in this event. 
 
Enter Fee: FREE!!! 
Requirements: Minimum 3.0 Safety Rating (any license level) or C License and above (If below requirements a test session will be required before race) Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, the HPD ARX-01c, Chevrolet Corvette C6.R and the Ford GT.

SSCA Grand Prix Series

SSCA Grand Prix Series-

 

The SSCA Grand Prix Series is a 10 race season with two drop allowed. We will have both a team championship and a drivers championship. If you don't have a team, no problem, you can still race for the drivers championship. Each team can only have 2 active drivers. We will have both a Team Championship and a Drivers Championship.  If you are interested in team championship in addition to our regular driver championship please create your team and sign-up in the series as team and invite your drivers you know or from the SSCA Driver's Waiting List.

This will be a great series both new, veteran, and up and coming iRacing F1 Drivers The GPS will be a fun open wheel series that is is put on by the SSCA free of charge. Yes FREE!!! SSCA Road to Indy Series (R2I)

The SSCA Road to Indy Series (RIS) is a developmental racing series launched drivers who would like to move to the iRacing IndyCar Weekly Series or the iRacing IZOD IndyCar Premier Series. The series will run mainly on ovals. It will be a 10 race season with two drop allowed. This will be a great Series both new, veteran, and up and coming IndyCar and Star Mazda Drivers. 
 
The RIS will be a fun open wheel series that is is put on by the SSCA free of charge. Yes FREE!!! 

We want to have this event available to most iRacing participants with the only requirements being a 3.0 safety rating or a Class C or better license gets you in automatically.  

Car: Star Mazda
Race Day: Monday Nights (6:30pm Pacific Time)
