The SSCA Indy 300 will be a SSCA Special Event along with a SSCA IndyCar Premier Series Race. The race will have live race control, live stewards, custom paint schemes and fun endurance racing. All is this is Free!!!
Racing participants with the only requirements being a 3.0 safety rating, C Class or better. Our goal is to have 33 total IndyCar Driver's in this event. If you're in the Top-25 in the Standings of the Premier Series after the Indy GP of Brazil race you will be automatically qualified to run in the Series. The rest of the driver's will qualified via Best Lap time during Qualifying.

This race will be run like a Tournament Style Event with Qualifying and the Race run on different weeks.

Even though this is a SSCA Premier Series race, this is still the SSCA Indy 300 which is open for everyone to signup. Just like the real Indy 500, more then series regulars run in the Indy 500. If you're in the Top 25 in the Premier Series, you have an automatic lock into the SSCA Indy 300.

SSCA IndyCar Premier Series (IPS) will have a 18 race Combined (Oval and Road Courses) season/year long series with two drops allowed. This Series will follow the Real IndyCar Series as close as possible.

The Series will Start on March 27th at Sebring International and will finished on October 16th at Auto Club Speedway with the IndyCar World Championship.

The SSCA was created by Darin Gangi as he transitioned from being an admin for an offline league on Compuserve back in 1995 with the first multiplayer online racing platform Hawaii using Nascar 1 from Papyrus.

Since 1995 the SSCA has been in existence in one form or another, from hosting endurance races up to 12 hours in length using rFactor to the Team Championship Series on hosted on iRacing. . Darin is better as one of the creators and hosts of the internet show “Inside Sim Racing”. Which you can catch on http://www.insidesimracing.tv/ .

Ted Severns will be in charge of Operations and Series Director. Ted is not new to being a Race Series Director. In real life Ted tested, developed and became the Series Director of National Auto Sport Association (NASA) Spec Focus Series from 2004-2009. In the Spring of 2010 Ted started the iRacing Team Virtual Apex Racing (vApex Racing) as they we invited by Darin to compete in the SSCA Team Championship.

Along with the Driver’s Championship we’ll have a Team Championship as well. Each team will be two drivers. You do not need to on a team to win the Driver’s Championship only the Team Championship.
